We’re a small, independent team that got tired of trusting our most personal writing to apps that quietly read it.
Notewright started as a weekend project: a notes app that opens instantly, works offline, and that we could prove — to ourselves first — couldn’t read what we wrote. Local-first storage made it fast. End-to-end encryption made it private. Plain markdown made it ours.
We think software that holds your thoughts should answer to you, not to an ad model. So our business is simple: a free single-device tier, and a small subscription for people who want encrypted sync across their devices. No tracking, no selling data — there’s nothing to sell, because we can’t read it.
Notewright is built by a handful of engineers and writers spread across a few time zones. We answer our own support email and ship updates most weeks. Want to say hello, report a bug, or argue about markdown? Get in touch.
